After storing my XG 75 for 2 years I set up my unit and ran it for about 2 hours and all of a sudden I got a HV arc and the unit shut down. After inspection the green tube has a crack near the HV lead button running across most of the back. This tube is a rebuild with about 800 hours on it before the storage time. Could this happen from the liquid absorbing moisture? I thought this would only crack the front glass. I know the tube is shot however I don't want a repeat.

Damn, that's not good.
I suspect the fact that it is a rebuild. The glycol absorbing moisture will crack the front glass, as you said.

CHange your vertical board as well. V deflection failure can cause a cracked tube without an error code.
Cheers!
