Is there a "low level black boost" device for digital projectors?
or something that could achive the same results?
or maybe it not needed for digitals?

This "black boost" is generally to modify the gamma curve to allow you to "have your cake and eat it too" on a CRT (i.e. have very black black and shadow detail). This is accomplished via non-linear gamma curve modification.
As Kal notes, few digitals have this problem (i.e. they may have elevated blacks, but they have very good shadow detail). Digitals also almost always have modifyable gamma (but linear). For the few digitals that do have this problem, you need to modify the gamma in a non-linear way, but you really want to do it in digital space. Most CRT things do it in analog space which is fine since the display is analog. The only way to do it in digital space is with a VP as Kal notes. However, the earlier Lumagens could do this (the DVI, HDP, and HDQ) so you don't need to spend all the money for a Radiance.
I have one of the "shadow detail challenged" digitals and I'm fixing it with an old Lumagen.
