So your projector takes what? Component( YPbPr )? If so then you need an RGB to component transcoder like the Box1020.

which projector are you trying to hook this up to?

Has these units gone to the wayside for most people with newer PJs?

Your VCR is NOT component output methinks. It's a yellow RCA jack, right? That's COMPOSITE. Smile

Feed that into one of the BNC inputs on the doubler via an RCA to BNC adapter, then you take the RGBHV outputs of the doubler and feed it to the projector. THat's it.

so this will be worth while to do with my videotape collection?

The VHS tapes could look a little better with the doubler than without, depending on the projector. By eliminating the 480i flicker and scan lines, the doubler will make the image a little more solid and brighter, but it won't be any sharper. VHS is still crappy VHS. 240 lines of horizontal resolution will never look great projected on a screen no matter what you do it. As long as your expectations aren't too high, you'll be happy with the results. Wink

What model projector are we talking about?

YOu're not making things easy, are you? Smile

What projector are you using the doubler with?

You'll need to get an SVGA to 5 BNC cable to plug the output of the NEC into the 1020 box.. which you WILL need if you want to feed the line doubled signal into a component video input.

Provided your projector can handle it.

What model is your projector?

I hope it's not that VideoBeam in his avatar. I don't think those take anything past 480i.

The best way to use a Line Doubler, is to tie it to something you don't want to drift away...like a boat.

We have Bluray now.
