I have this XG135LC that has had big problems with the Green and Blue VDC Rebuilds for a while now . I have had to replace the green 3 times under warentee due to arcing and taking out resistors in the cathode drive on the Neck board . Now the Blue is doing the exact same thing .

Options

1, Buy a new OEM Tube from VDC $700 Shocked and still have to send the faulty one over for hardware swap

2, Have this tube rebuilt Thumbs Down Not happy with VDC rebuilds. How much does this cost anyway ??

3, Find a used one , not having much fun with this so far .

Is there any other options I have so far left out , I'm so sick of this POS !

Thanks Guys

REbuilds are indeed not the first choice. Sad

I would talk NICELY to VDC to see if they will give you a a discount on a new tube, considering the problems you've had with the rebuilds. YEs, finding a good used one is very hard. Sad

Please, please be the one to sue the hell out of these lying bastards who sell GARBAGE with no thought as to what damage they do sending out 5th rate, totally un-tested or verified as even operational, carelessly assembled CRAP.

I've had some very limited experience with VDC, and mine was EXACLTY like yours. They are one of the most amateurish, callous thieving enterprises I've ever had the "pleasure" of dealing with. Unfortunately, I'm not located near enough to them to sue them, or I certainly would...

SUE THEM.

As for your tube issue...if you really want to be on the cutting edge, maybe contact Nashou66 see if maybe Thomas tubes would have a solution for you ?

Jeez they must have done a number on you ! I can't believe they get away with selling this crap , the worst part is I sold the projector to a family member years ago , so its constantly making me look like an idiot Evil or Very Mad

If someone can tell me who to contact at VDC let the fire reign down !!!!!!!

MY only contact at VDC is Gina at the 800 number. She's just an ordertaker, so you'd have to move up the chain I think.
