Just spent $65 including tax and shipping on 9 new BR's including Ultimate Matrix and Planet Earth so not bad...plus I can unload the HD DVD's for $5 a pop and make all that back. Just like an even swap I guess.

Very good of them to do this. I am taking back all the nasty stuff I said earlier. I am just lucky I didn't have more than 25 WB titles left in my collection.

Now if Universal would do this....

Yeah I wonder if that offer is valid in Canada? I have the Matric and BBC planet earth. Although, is the New Panet Earth still narated by Sir David Attenborough?

I just read the legal stuff.

No Canada.

Also they may send you a disk with a different aspect ratio is they so choose. "Eg. May be a full screen instead of a widescreen or vice versa" Yeah, that's helpfull! I didn't know they were making 4:3 Blurays? With the exception of the IMAX series I guess?

Don't know of any 4:3 BR's either, but who cares, you still get to keep the original HD DVD movie. You can reprint the cover art to exactly the same appearance if you want.

Did you go to the website?

Send in the cover art from 25 WB HD DVD's and pay as low as 4.95 per BR and they will send you a BR of the same movie.

4.95 per movie x 7
14.95 for Matrix
9.95 for Planet Earth

+ 6.95 shipping.

They send you a shipping label for the cover art.

YOU GET TO KEEP THE HD DVD'S!

Need to look downstairs but the ones I used in this offer are:

Corpse Bride
Troy
Polar Express
Planet Earth
Christmas Vacation
300
Full Metal Jacket
Ant Bully
Ultimate Matrix

Quite a few more down in the theater including for sure:

Transformers
U-571
and more

Will wait to get the replacements before I list these for sale...plus will probably keep a few just for nostalgia sake! Cool

I just placed the order for 300, The Departed, Polar Express, Phantom of the Opera, and Goodfellas. I'm going to try to sell my HD-A1 with my house, so at least I can hold on to a few of my titles. King Kong and a few others I'll have to re-buy on BR. This is definitely a pretty cool deal that WB is running. I just spent a few minutes with the color copier at work, so now I have replacement sleeves and the future buyer will probably never notice.

My BD's arrived tonight Thumbs Up

I sold the lot of HDDVDs (without coverart) last week, so it's a nice swap.

With the local Blockbuster unlimited rentals, we're so backed up on HD movies that we haven't watched yet, that now I'm tempted to ebay the stack of shrink wrapped BD's. Razz
