Electrohome ECP 3100. does not power up at all. the cpu card lights on the rear of the machine do not come on when plugged in like they should. i have tried replacing the low voltage power supply and the cpu card. has anyone else had this problem? and if so, any suggestions?

Off the top of my head I'd check the conectors to make sure they aren't off by one pin. That's pretty common. ALso try reseating all the boards.

Nice sig line. "And.......it's dead again."
That would have worked well for my Ampro 4000 for the first 18 months. Laughing

Hello

You may have issues with the power entry module, it is the section that the power cord plugs into.

i pulled the power entry module, noticed the fuse on it. i hoped it was that, but the fuse was still good. what else could be wrong with it besides a blown fuse?

What Tim said. On the PC board somewhat hidden is a 1 amp (?) fuse that could be blown. There's also a standby transformer on that entry module that provides the standby supply for the IR. I've had that transformer go open once. I have spares for cheap if you want one, both of the input module and transformer.

ok. for real though. besides a blown fuse (or having a friend shatter it) what could cause the HVPS to not power up?
