So I started seriously tearing down the newish 8500lc today

covers off, power supplies removed, major boards yanked...

The goal right now is just to clean everything up, do the lvps mods, anamorphic squeeze, (and lenses - when I can locate a set for less than a kings ransom). With just a quickie small screen acon setup under the belt, I'm already really impressed. (Yea, I'm easy like that - sue me. Wink )

Naturally, there is a lot of dust and funk in the set, but overall it looks really good, and I love how modular and sturdy it all is. I'd already have a moome card on the way if I didn't need to replace the HD10-L's it came with. Very Happy
