Is there a simple explanation as to why the BD801s SMPS is not interchangable with the BG800. I just checked and the frame and chassis are the same part numbers and from what I can see the other boards will swap.

800 smps have 230V line for eht, driver, focus and rgb out boards. In 801s same line is 210V.

Different voltage could be why Barco have chanced ac1 input pins in 801s smps. Maybe 20V higher voltage to 801s can cause some problems.

800 smps have 17V line for convergence and in 801s same line is 19V.

As I was saying though the EHT, Driver, convergence and RGB output boards are all interchangable so what happens if you put an 801s SMPS in 800??

I am using the 75Mhz RGB Output boards in my 1100 and I have had s few fail. Would installing the SMPS from the 801s help this by reducing voltage to the amps. I can't help think that the 75Mhz boards were designed for the 801 and beyond and these have an SMPS that produces less volatge to them.
