Saw this on a gaming forum and didn't know if anyone knew about it yet...

Some sort of official add-on device from Harmony so that my 1000 can finally control everything on the PS3 and I can put away the silly sixaxis controller for good.
Good thing I held off on all of those work arounds.

That will be nice. I bought one of the add on adapters that use the USB port. Works for everything except power on and off

Did you ever program a Power Off Macro?
You could do power off by programming a macro that says PSButton - x - x and it will shut it off. You can't do that for power on, but more than likely you will be putting a BR in so it will turn on automatically.
Which version did you get?

Hmm... Looks good. Thanks for posting that, Greg. Can't wait to get my IR blaster setup for my Harmony...
I wonder if, since this is from Logitech, it will cost more than most of the other solutions. I'm going to guess $99.95.
Greg, which blaster solution are you using with the Harmony? I'm sick of the "remote over my shoulder" maneuver, and I can't really do that with the touch-screen. I need to get going with the blaster when I figure out what's best and how it works.

I've got the Harmony 1000 with the IR blaster that comes with it. I ran out of blasters though as I have two switches, HDDVD, receiver, Light control, projector, cable box, future for PS3. It only comes with 8 blasters.
Once I upgrade the AVR I can get rid of a quite a bit of equipment and simplify the control since I will have HDMI switching and upscaling.
I am dying to put away the PS3 controller, but I won't spend $100 for this. I probably wouldn't even spend $50 for it actually. I think I saw that the Samsung 1500 and 1600 got firmware updates to allow netflix and Pandora on them so I looked VERY hard at the 1500 open box at BB today for $200.

I picked up the Nyko for under $20 and it has worked fine. I am currently using the home automation software "Homeseer" and have begun programming a Fujutsi 10" LCD touchscreen along with this device called an Ocelot that sends IR signals to control all of the devices in my home theater as well as the lighting, sprinklers, etc. Hopefully I will have it completed in the next week or so and will post some pics. By the time you buy the software and a touch screen off of e-bay this setup can still be less expensive then buying one of the higher level Harmony's.

Dan, when you say Fujitsu 10" touch screen do you mean an actual PC with OS?

Yes, I bought 2 of the Fujutsi 3400's with Windows 2000 and 5 GB hard drive. I paid around $65 per. You can find great deals on these if you look around. One of the problems is that these are so old that most of the batteries are bad but replacments can be bought. The HomeSeer software is around $200, the Touch Screen add on is around $150 and I paid $100 for the Ocelot device. This would probably be alot to just control the theater devices but I will be using it for whole house control. You can also stream RSS feeds to the touch screen device so you can display the current weather, etc. Below is a link to the HomeSeer touchscreen software. The system also supports voice commands so I plan on being able to speak "Watch Movie" and it will turn on all of my devices to the correct settings and either dim or turn off the lights. You can also interface this with your alarm system so you can arm, disarm or activate the panic either through the touch screen, voice command or other remote devices. I like the idea of hearing something at night and being able to speak a command to turn on the alarm and all of the interior and exterior lights. That should scare someone off. Another thing I plan on doing is putting a monitoring switch on the overhead garage door and if it gets to be around 9pm and the door is open the system will make an announcement that the garage door is open.

Interesting. I bought a 233Mhz 7" Fujitsu touchscreen a couple of years ago I was trying to set it up with girder but I ran out of time on it at the time and never got back to it.

You can download a 30 day trial of both the HomeSeer and HSTouch software. It is pretty intuitive for the setup. Since you already have the touch screen I would give it a go.

I didnt think of this before but just noticed it has an AC plug for power. How many plugs can one have in a rack?
I need two powercenters to power everything!
Anyone bought one yet?
