As per my PM:

1982 vintage, EM focusing, maybe 400 lumens, thus the curved screen. Kicked butt at the time, I watched countless hours of MTV on it when I worked in a night club starting in 1984.

It's a little-known fact that Tinman's forum avatar is actually a photo of Curt taken in 1985.

I have one of those... the 72 inch version, KP7225 and the curved screen too.

I purchased it new from Crazy-Eddie's up in NY in 1983. Was a fantastic picture... Used it for years until it was replaced with a Barco 1208.

I have the schematic and service manual.. (Curt... if you are interested)

It has no video inputs, the TV tuner only went to up to cable channel 36, and monaural sound. (Stereo TV did not yet exist)

This might be a good thing for my Dad. He's 90 and nearly blind so resolution isn't important to him but screen size is. I could use a standard def digital ota box for a tuner and he would have a big screen tv....

Joe we've been looking for manuals, got a 7220 (or 22 need to check?) PSE, there's been a thread going on for almost two years about these series and its one-piece predescor. Some time ago some-one promised to get the manuals up, never to be heard from. The one I got does have a bnc video input on the front, and a mono rca audio input. It doesn't have a smoked glass top, though.

Yes, it would indeed.

As long as you have the aluminized screen, the brightness is pretty decent...
