It looks like you can get a Sony 4k for a cheap price, if you want to go the refurb route.
Art had a good comment over at AVS about this. He thinks this could mean one of two things. Either they are coming out with a much better pj or they are dumping LCOS. I hope it isn't the latter. I am not a big fan of Sony, but they have been good for marketplace.

There are only a couple dozen theaters world wide with this projector. We have 2 in Dallas (1 of them is 5 miles from my house). Since they are VERY BRIGHT their black level sucks--but no worse than film in a theater. However, they so far exceed film it is not funny. I WILL NOT go to any other theater but my local one that has these PJs. Simply put, these PJs got me going back to the commercial cinema!
