Hi,
First attempt at changing a tube in a barco lc chamber. I followed the methods in the advanced procedures. The only catch is with my putty knife I cut into the aluminum a little bit on the inside of the chamber.

Is this an issue?

Does it need to be painted?

Will this cause "fungus" ?

Ethylene glycol corrode aluminium (-> fungus), that's why it's needed to use polyethylene glycol for cars with aluminium motor block.

I use polyethylene glycol mixed with glyserine (70/30) in my LC chambers, other reason was that I couldn't get non colored ethylene glycol anywhere.

You can fix that coating with same rtv what you are using to glue tube to housing.
