Guys. I’m helping a couple of friends who have BG800s. They are both using Bell Express View HD. They are able to do this because their old Bell HD Receivers have VGA output complete with sync. It’s a good match for the Barcos.
Unfortunately Bell is obsolescing their old model 6000 HD Receivers and giving them new ones. I’d be surprised if these new receivers output VGA with sync.
I looked on Bells site and did not see an HDMI connection but the site is not great. if it is HDMI then I know they need an external HDMI-VGA like an external moome.
I believe these new Bell receivers output HD over component based on what little I could get from their site.
So I'm thinking they need an HD transcoder. Any ideas for a good transcoder? Cheap is important.

The HD receivers will almost certainly be outputting HD over HDMI, making the HDFury your best bet. Combined with a cheap switcher they'll be set for BluRay and PS3/X-Box360 type consoles also.

Yep HDFury1 would be good here provided you can set the Expressview recievers to output audio seperatly over optical/SPDIF or 2 chanel analog when using the HDMI ouputs. If not then you'll need and HDFury2.

Don't forget to order the HDFury1 advanced kit with the power supply. You'll need it. HDFury2 comes with the power supply included.
