Hi
I bought a PC-1271 from Curt and am having a bit of trouble setting it up.
I have connected the 1 METER long SIC-M cable from the PC-1271 "remote out 1" to my VPH-1271QM projector.
Set the swither "Remote 1 Mode" knob to "1" and the slide switch to "single"
Slot 1 has an IFB-1000 - Composite video from Playstation 2
Slot 2 has an IFB-12 - Component RGB from DVD player
Slot 3 has an IFB-1000 - Composite Video from Laserdisc
Slot 4 has an IFB-11 - PC input 800 x 600 @ 65Hz
Slot 5 has an IFB-11 - Playstation 3 via HD-Fury and 5 BNC RGBHV lead - sticking 720P out.
This is where I am getting trouble.
Selecting slot / inputs 1 though to 3 I get each video source displayed fine and the audio is switched ok.
If I then go on to select source 4 or 5 (either one of the IFB-11) I get sound but absolutly no picture and the PJ says "No Input"
Why is it not displaying my video ?
If I take both IFB-11's out of the switcher and stick them back in my VPH-1271QM projector I get perfect picture on both input A and B from the PC and Playstation 3.
Leaving the IFB-11's in the Projector if i then select source 4 - 5 - 8 (all empty slots) on switcher I get video displayed from the IFB-11 last selected in my PJ say input A displayed even thou slots 5 - 8 of switcher are empty shurly they should say "No Input"
If I remove all IFB's from switcher and stick 1 x IFB-11 back in I get audio again but absolutly no video.
If I stick in any other IFB board say the IFB-12 this works fine in every slot 1 - 8 displaying video and routing the audio so ruling out the PC-1271 , maybe does it ?
The IFB-11 work in the projector so thay are also ruled out, the SIC-M lead is fine, checked all pins for continuety and shorts and its 100% fine.
The plan was to remove the 2 IFB-11 from my PJ and stick them in the switcher, have the switcher set up in a 19" rack with all my other AV gear and only have 1 cable (SIC-M) and power going to the projector that will be stuck up on ceeling, (have bought a new 10 meter SIC-M cable as 1 meter is ony to test)
Does anyone know whats going on here ? do I have to move jumpers on IFB-11 so they work in PC-1271 ? or am i doing something wrong ?
I have litteraly spent 2 hours chasing my tail AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Thanks

Right
Got to the bottom of the IFB-11 issue, A 5 BNC switch needs to be set from 5BNC mode to NOR on the board that the remote 1 lead plugs into inside the projector this will then allow the switcher to send the video from the IFB-11 in the switcher over the SIC-M cable so you don't have to use the monitor out and another 5BNC to 5BNC lead as this is required when cable run is over 25 meters according to manual
The next problem I am having now is the remote will no longer make the unit switch to each video input.
I press button 1 on PC-1271 front panel to select source 1 and get video and audio ok.
But when I press 2 - 8 on the PC-1271's remote control to select a differant source the light goes out on front panel button 1 and no other lights lite on any other button at all.
The projector displays "SW' ER 1-2 No Input" and I cannot select any other until I get back up and press a button on the front of the PC-1271 box then it lights up and works, do the same again with the remote and off it goes )o: Bizzar!
The remote is OK as the SW' ER 1-x counts up when I press number buttons and powers the PJ on and off ect.
It's gone from bad to worse!
Anyone have an idea what thats about ?

Hi
I bring good news
Got to the bottom of the no light / remote usage problem now.
When I set the unit to UK mains power and put lid back on I seem to of some how traped the wires that go to the slide switch for single, other and second on rear panel, they ended up being cut by metal work with all the weight i put on top of the switcher.
Joined them back together and its all happy now yay.
