TV/Projector: All of them!

Posted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 11:51 pm    Post subject: Need help with Sony G90 firmware upload program

So I am playing around with a couple of G90 Ya boards. I managed to nuke one, I'm so pissed that I won't even post about it. (it wasn't working right, now it's not working at all!).

Anyways, what I want to do is upload new firmware to the other Ya board that I suspect has a bad IC421, but want to make sure it's not a firmware issue.

I got the firmware upload program working just fine, it sees the projector, etc, but the program doesn't see the firmware file that I've got on CDROM. I select D drive (CD ROM) in the menu, but the program can't see it.

What am I doing wrong?

What is the file format? Is it a bin file?

No, it's a .pjv file. Here:

Can you copy that file to your C drive or desktop and see if the program can recognize it from there?

Curt....I'm looking over those files and the actual flash files are the MOT files. There are 2 of them...1 for ic234 and 1 for ic534. It says the pjv file is just the PC application.

I thought I tried that, but I'll give it a shot. Turns out that Haydn's Ya board that I was going to flash doesn't have a firmware problem anyways, so I'll send it to CIE to try and repair it. I think his problem is IC 421 related as well, in fact I'm sure of it.

Curt, I always put the FW in the root right on the C: drive. I'll attach the FW files just in case you don't have the right ones.

Looks like the forum doesn't like the files or the are too big. Here are links to them.
