Hi guys,

Just to let everyone know, Doug Baisey is in the hospital for some surgery. He is doing OK and should be released soon.

This was unexpected and came in the middle of a Washington setup/calibration trip. Well, things do happen.... just to let people know that may be waiting on Doug, you are not being ignored. Please understand, and Doug will contact you when he gets released.

Marc

Sorry to hear about his problem but glad to hear he's ok.

Doug, get well soon!

I just lost my brother in law suddenly last week he was only 51 years old, it was a big shock. He was a big World of Warcraft player so we had one of his kids log on to tell a few of his online friends what happened. A virtual friendship can be an odd thing because if something happened to a person suddenly word may not ever get back to the group to let them know.

Mike

I'll second Mike's sentiments. Get better soon!

I hadn't heard from him in a while, but figured he was just busy.

Hang in there Doug, and don't let that uncalibrated hospital room TV bug you enough that you want to tweak it. You need some down time!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Doug! Thumbs Up

I took my first ride in an ambulance Monday...my only day off! Son of a BITCH those things ride rough!!!..and it was only 6 months old! Shocked Good thing I didn't have a broken back or the like. Wink
This was my second round with atrial fibrillation in less than two years. Pretty scary sh*t when your pulse bangs and the rate heads for the stratosphere for no good reason whatsoever! I've been taking blood thinners since the first time. I think it's because I work in a food processing plant and it's always ~38 deg. F everywhere I go and I got deyhydrated. Heck, I lost 35lbs in less than 3 months at this job.
On the way to the hospital it converted to normal rhythm but they gave me a good going over once I got there. 4 nurses tried to find blood in about that many veins but couldn't find anything that would produce. One nurse finally did but it was like sludge. Not sure what the hell that means. I must be running on something tho eh? Laughing I don't have an LC so it isn't glycol. Mr. Green

I digress...I wish you all the best Doug! And...go ahead and tweek their crappy 13inch TV...and send them a bill bigger than the one they're going to send you. Laughing

Too funny... Five days inpatient in November and all I could think of was a bad red misconvergence issue on the 20" CRT DV set!
Be healthy Doug... From recent 'been there' experience, believe me its' easier to stay out than bounce in.

Take care Doug and a speedy recovery to you. You are a great asset to this forum and I certainly appreciate all of the help you have given me with NEC's over the years. I only wish you lived here on the right coast so I could meet you in person and witness your projector skills.

Well, I talked to Doug's sister tonight. Doug's out of the Hospital and doing quite well. He just wants to go back to work, but the doctors want him to rest a while longer. Anyway, I am greatly relieved that he's doing well. I'm sure he'll say Hi once he can get a hold of a computer.

And...... I think if he had hit up someone's trophy wife, he would have been in the hospital a lot longer... Mr. Green

Anyway, we all care about you, Doug. More than you might think. Get well.

Marc

Not having heard from Doug for a few months I've been concerned but glad to hear now that things are on the mend. Hope to hear that all is resolved and life is good! You've been a constant and invaluable contributor to the CRT art.

I had surgery april 2nd for similar problem, my heartrate went regularly without reason to 225, and it wasnt a normal rhythm, the blood wasn´t actually flowing well. they cut some extra (unnecessary) nerves from inside my heart;it was an electrical problem, the signal kept jumping in between chambers. havent had it since and hope that I wont.

best to Doug.

oh and if anyone is getting rid of a CRT in Finland, pm me;)
