Does anyone use two pjs without stacking them? I have an extra BG800 that I'm not using, and have room in my peaked ceiling to mount it above my 1209s. I came home the other day to find the 1209s sitting there with a still Wii image displayed and nobody was home. Needless to say I was not happy about that. Does anyone here use a second projector just for the kids to use? I have a 4x2 hdmi matrix switcher and an extra fury, cables etc.. I'd really like to save the 1209s for the good stuff.

Not me. I've made it VERY clear to my kids that, even though there's a PS3 on the projector, it is NOT a gaming system. They've got their Wii upstairs and they can play on that. The theater is MINE.

So, Where didja bury the body??
I'd get a cheap digital to play videogames. Dont burn CRT tubes.

I have thought of this a bit of late since I may have a spare Data 808s soon. What stops me is that I don't have a peaked ceiling and the WAF would be very low. It is hard for me to imagine both a 120x and 80x projector stacked one upon the other as that would be quite a bit of stuff hanging from my ceiling. A cheap digital might actually be a better option here.

I was considering a digital as well, but I can't see buying one unless it's really cheap and comes with several bulbs. The 800 is practically a zero dollar route for me. I'll have to invest in some unistrut but that's about all.

That is the reason why I am happy staying with the D50. My son plays both PS3 and Wii on the PJ and I don't have to stress out about wear. I figure with my current PJ and the spare in the attic I should be good for the next 6-8 years.

I just hate to see good tubes burned after bad.
I'd get a cheap dlp. The kids wont mind, and then i'd let them know, this is their pj, there's x hours on the bulb. When it dims, when it blows, the next one is on them.... they might have 2nd thoughts about leaving the system running when its their hours burning.
my 2c.

I know this doesn't solve the problem, but I think there is an option on the wii to dim the image after a few minutes of non use so it doesn't burn an image in. Just a suggestion.

I have gamed on many a CRT system and for very very long periods of time and sessions, it is not a problem if the unit is setup properly, if I wanted to game on a G90 I would do it without hesitation

I agree Gary, I don't have a problem with the gaming, it's when the thing is on a static image for 4 hrs that I have a problem.

I play games on mine all the time. It's freakin awesome!
You might want to put your projector remote in a drawer that you can lock so the kids can't turn it on unless you are home though.
I guess you could always get an old ECP or 10XX series that can be the sacrificial lamb though.
