I have a G70 with the new moome card, which is throwing a great picture. Everything is working very well. I'm using a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-Ray player.

After I did a ground up setup (old firmware) I had image brightnes flicker. This is well documented and caused by the picture area impinging on the AKB/ABG line. Because I don't have a video processor in the chain, I can't adjust the relative position of the picture within the raster, or at least I don't understand how to do this. RGB shift and centering don't do it. With my HTPC, it was easy, I just changed the porches.

So I disabled ABG and redid all the G2's. PITA, but the results are fantastic. No brightness modulation, deep blacks, great picture. Funny thing, the ABG lines are still visible in very dark scenes! Anyone know how to get rid of them? So far my only recourse is to move them out of the active picture area, which will cut off about 5% of the picture. No biggie, but I'd prefer not to have to do it.

So I'm posting this because others have had or will have this issue, and I'm curious if I'm missing something here. I am very familiar with this PJ, and am stumped. Any ideas?
