I am unable to get any hi-def resolution from my HTPC to a Sony VPH-1272, other than 740 as I only have 2 RGB input modules. Are there input modules which accept DVI or any other Computer vidwo that would allow 1080i or 1080P. I have heard of a IFB12 card. Are there others?

Hi Smokey, welcome to the forum.
What input cards do you have now? R G B H V ? IFB-10, and IFB-11 will do 1080i no problem. Your projector won't handle 1080P. I did that on a 1272 once by accident it was terrible. Stick with 1080i. IFB-12 will do component but only 480P/576P beyond that everything turns green. You can indeed get an HDMI input card for your 1272. They are available here:

If that's too rich for your blood you could go with an HDFury1 (with powere supply)
https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=5282.html
or
HDFury2( with power supply ) https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=12023.html
I would make sure your projector's functional first with the PC before ordering. How many hours does your projector have on it?
What video card are you running in the PC?

1080p is too high for the 1272, and 720p is OK, but I much preferred 1080i on my 12xx. The only problem with that is 1080i can be tricky or impossible on some video cards. If you have a card capable of 1080i, you'll probably still need Powerstrip to get it configured properly.
Like Wallace, said... What IFB card do you have, what video card are you running, and what cable do you have it connected with?

Thanks, guys, for the info. As for the boards in the 1272, I havent pulled them to check the numbers. However, they are the boards with 5 BNC connectors and two RCA's for audio. My PC card is an nVidia 8500. As for my current situation, when I select any resolution with a horizontal of over 900, I get the "resolution too high and you ain't gonna see nothin'" screen. I appreciate your comments and info. The HD Furry seems to be a cost effective solution.

You'll need to pull the board and see what the model number is. Here is a link to a post where I sold a IFB-11 card. It's just to show where to find the model number.

It could also be some of the options on the board are not set correctly.

Set your HTPC to 1920x1080i@60Hz with Powerstrip.
You'll should get a picture with the ifb-11. Every Standalone DVD-Player with capability of upscaling has this output resolution.
It works.
Important is the forced interlacing of the 1080.

I used power strip and set to 1080i and got video.....will the HD furry with HDMI interface be compliant with the new decoder scheme that would allow me to play blu-ray on my computer. I forget the acronem HCdm or something.
Thanks again for the great help.
