driving a Barco 1208 to 1080p

I know many say that it really can't do it. However i am messing around again trying to attain the "best it can do".

I notice when I put the DVDO to 1080P (from 1080i) I get no picture. However i peeked into the CRTs and there is a clear image on all three rasters. So how come they are not lighting up to push the image on the screen?
