Hi,

I just bought a BG808 with 2500hours. I switched it on for the first time today and it looks like I have a problem already. Sad
Has you can see on the picture below there is a line scanning outside the tube and generates a blue halo on the tube.

I deleted all blocks and did a set to midposition but it's still there.
I tried different signals (internal pattern, genlocked pattern, signal form the computer on input 3 or 5 at different resolutions) and it's always there.
The halo is not very bright, you can only see it we you project a black image. Otherwise the rest of the picture being to bright to notice it.
I'm sure it is one or two lines outside the tube face as I saw them on the tube face for a second before they drifted outside the tube. I also tried to play with the top blanking but it only affects the picture not this line.

Do you know what causes that and how to get rid of it?

Thanks for your precious help

Damien

Don't worry about it. sometimes you can use blanking to eliminate it. Have seen it lots of times, it does not harm anything.

Hi,

I tried the blanking already but it doesn't affect it unfortunately.

Thanks

Damien

Hi again,

I've set up the projector and actually the blue lines were outside the tube because the whole picture on the blue tube was shifted. I then adjusted the blue master Vertical pot to shift the picture back in place and now the blue lines are on the tube.
I also noticed than this lines are at the bottom of the 3 tubes but they are much brighter on the blue. It actually projects the blue lines above my screen Sad

See the picture below to see what I'm talking about (Click to enlarge):

I would really like to get rid of these lines on my tubes. If someone has an idea...

Thanks

Damien

Hi Gary,

What do you mean by retrace line? We are not supposed to see these lines are we? Do you know how to get rid of them?
It would be great if someone could help me with the problem as it is driving me mad Evil or Very Mad . It is strange that the problem is there no matter what input I'm using.
I think it also makes my G2 adjustment with the LEDs go wrong.
