My G90 works perfectly with my DVDO VP50 and 1080p. The VP 50 is down, however, and I'm running a Sony BDP 301 Blu-Ray player to the G90. Only 1080i will display properly. 1080p will sometimes display for a sort period and then the pic tears and goes blank. I suspect a sych problem but have tried clamp set to H/C (worked with the VP50) and auto. Synch is set to auto. The VP50 was set to 60 hz, 48 or 72 hz (I forgot which) and the BDP 301 outputs 1080p at 60hz. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I'm using an IFB board made by Mike Downing.

Mike Downings input board is not HDCP from what I remember. I tested one of the early pre production models and asked him if he was going to add HDCP, and he said no. You will need something that is HDCP compliant t get 1080P out of the Sony Blu-Ray.

No it's not, but Mike informed me that a certain version of a Gefen switcher (which I bought) "passed" the signal to the PJ or at least his old version did. I'm not sure if the switcher does this trick or not. What I can say is that with the DVDO VP50 in the signal path sending the hdmi signal to the switcher and on to the PJ, I can watch Blu-Ray at 1080p all day long.

You were probably sending the BD at 1080i to the VP and the VP was deinterlacing to 1080p. 1080p is not supported on DVI natively without HDCP on DVI.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Because as I was writing my post, it occurred to me that if the VP50 were being fed a 1080P bluray signal (hdcp) that in order for the VP50 to open it's digital output it would have to be connected to an HDCP display device. Since Gefen did an improper implementation of their switcher using display keys, I could see how that would work.
So are you saying that your signal path now is BluRay player, Gefen switch, Mikes DVI board plugged in to the G90??
You symptoms sure sound like HDCP>

Yes, the path is now Sony BDP301 to Gefen Extend IT HD 4x1 switcher to Downing IFB board to G90.
