I went to see this movie last night, and i was left with one overwhelming impression. This is a movie Hollywood wishes it could make today.
It comes from India, its in english (no Subtitles). Its the story of a low caste young man (hence the "slumdog") who is about to win the Indian version of "who wants to be a Millionaire?" The show ends with him one question away from 20Million Rupees, He is then secretly arrested and tortured under suspicion of cheating. In proving his innocence he recounts incidents from his growing up in the Grinding poverty of the Bombay slums. Its a gripping drama and a touching love story. This movie made me laugh out loud, made me furious with anger, and moved me to tears....almost
It is a well told story and a must see! 4 1/2 dawgz out of 5.
It also had 2 previews that were amazing.
Revolutionary road. Leo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet... Looked very good
and
The Wrestler, The trailer starts by saying its the "Resurrection" of Mickey Rourke. From the look of the Trailer ... they aint lying. This looks REALLY GOOD.

Ive heard nothing but good stuff about his movie. I like everything else Ive seen by Danny Boyle, so Im sure it is as good as it sounds.
Ive heard nothing but good stuff about The Wrestler, too. The trailer looks awesome.
Both of those movies have at least 1 Golden Globe nomination. I cant remember specifically for what, but they both may have been for best picture.
