Hey,

Anyone know the different sizes of the spacers used on this projector?

From the FAQ's, Tips, Manuals seciton (Thanks Curt!) Layout and setup tips (Thanks JaniH!):

> There are 3 sizes of spacers to install between tubes and lenses according to used image size: 60-79", 80-120" or 121-
> 300" (diagonal sizes of a 4:3 screen).

Mine is currently fitted with the 100 spacer. I'd like to replace it with the 70 spacer.

> If you don't have spacers for your screen size you have to use washers as I don't know where to get these spacers.

What size of washers should I use? Any advice on installing the washers, as replacing the tubes with washers instead of the spacer would be really tricky Wink

Many thanks in advance.

S.

Hi!

Specs for these spacers are hard to come by.

The best thing would be to mod a stepless adjustment for the lenses with nuts and bolts. This is quite tricky because of the tight space but it's doable. If you wanna go with the spacers, it's more of a trial and error method. You can get some values to begin with using the LENS program for Barco projectors. Select a projector with HD145 lenses such as BD708 and compare the washer thicknesses the program gives for 100" and 70" screen sizes.

If you haven't yet modified the aiming of the tubes from three presets to stepless (this is described in the tips IIRC), I recommend doing it before any adjustments done for the lens spacers. This isn't necessary if your setup is close to one of the presets and images in red and blue tube are close to center of the tube faces.
