ElaineBenes came over today and we used a couple of his transcoders....I finally got a picture on this Barco, and it was very nice. I think at first glance, I prefered the HDFury over the older Moome unit with gamma...I thought for sure the Moome would be superior. Maybe I didn't look close enough, but that was my perception.

I just recently had a high end 720p digital, and while it was brighter and sharper...the crt is still the hands down winner for smooth, film-like and lifelike picture. At least, that's this reporters opinion.

I have had LC projectors in the past...I don't think I even care that this is an AC projector. It's a nice smooth picture, and the chassis is fairly quiet, and the frequency of the noise it makes is fairly low, so it blends in easily.

I know crt is dead, but maybe it shouldn't have died so suddenly...I can only ever consider switching to a 1080p digital that is quiet and less than $1000...might be a while!

1080i still rules!

Ben
