Gday people
I managed to get my Sony VPH-1001QM to work fine the other night, although the issue was not the convergence board.
I had no control over anything horizontal, no keystone, and no corner convergence adjustment either. I tried 2 convergence boards and both did the exact same thing, after that i pulled the board under that out and had a look at it, removed the socketed chip from it and put it back in, unplugged every connector i could see and pluged them back in, yet that didnt fix it straight away.
I had it all back together and fired it up, while i was checking to see if it was fixed and trying various adjustments, it was about the same.
Everything is clean as clean inside this thing.
Then the picture started to go quite wavy, it jumped around abit side to side, then slowly settled down, and it worked perfectly for the next 3 hours i had it running. I then left it for about 1 hour (i put all the covers back on in this time then went away for a while) then fired it back up, perfect, convergence still exactly where i set it, and picture was smooth and clear.
Anyone got any idea as to what may be the issue with this thing? It seems to be working fine at the moment, but who knows how long itll last eh

Yeah done all the solder joints, but this isnt like the 1031, the 1031 is abit more primative in some ways, although it goes to higher rez, it aint as bright or as modern in some ways.
