Ok, moved another step closer to the drywall stage. Already got the drywall and drywaller, but I am trying to think ahead of time regarding access panels.
The entire basement will be drywalled, including the ceiling and all of the soffets. I am running extra Romex in the soffets back to the soffet just above the electrical subpanel. I'll even auger out some holes in the top plate of that stud cavity. Aside from PVC from the projector location to the equipment location, anything else I should plan for before the boards go up?

Make sure to remember pullstrings for future runs

Better yet, run a 2" or two 1" conduit from the projector to the rack area. That way if the world goes with an optical interconnect in 5 years, you're not effed.
I ran spare wiring front to back of the HT as well. You never know when you're going to pull extra wiring in.

Well, I ran a 2" conduit to the projector, 3/4" to both back corners, 3/4 to both sides and up to soffits, 2-3/4" in the slab to both sets of recliners, 3 wire home run to every box.
Guess what, I need a conduit to my switch boxes for IR transmitters.
You cannot have enough spare wires and conduits.
