Hi,
My old Barco 1200 died recently, now I'm trying to get an old Marquee 9000 to work.
I can't get the stair step pattern to look like stair steps on my blue tube. The steps are almost all the same intensity. The drive and G2 both make the whole pattern brighter and darker. There also seems to be some ghosting on the right of the brighter (blue only) images. The red and green patterns work fine.
Also the red tube has some random horizontal streaking. Its seems like it's worse when I play with the drive and G2.
The green works perfect.
I swapped the red and blue neck boards, and the problems did not move.
Any troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated, I have a soldering iron and a hammer! but I'm no tech. I'm just not ready to go digital!
Thanks,
Eric.

Streaking is usually the neck boards. You're right down the road from me, and I NEED to come to Seattle this upcoming week, so let me know if you need a service call. Figure on $250 to come to you, plus parts.

I swapped the neck boards again to double check the streaking problem but the problems did not move. In fact the red streaking problem is accompanied by what I would call some flickering and some video noise. The blue tube from which the board was swapped did not show these problems.
Curt, I just might take you up on that service call, but I don't want to invest to much in this big dinosaur. I saw another digital last night and the crisp clear picture almost made up for the poor black.
I'll send you an email, maybe you can give a rough guess on parts$$$
Thanks,
Eric.
