I got lucky and picked up a set of HD-144s for $60 on ebay. I was going to wait, but for that price I couldn't pass them up. I couldn't easily move my projector closer to the screen, so I built a frame to move the screen about 12" closer to the projector. It ended up being very cool, as it now looks like the screen is just floating in the room since I built the frame in such a way that it isn't visible from any angle unless you look behind the screen. There was a noticeable improvement in focus and color with the HD-144s, so I'm glad I picked them up.

I had to do the same when I went with 145's. My screen is hung by aircraft cable covered in matte black foam tube and magnets to Liquid Nail(ed) carbon steel plates on the walls and floors at the 4 points (also painted matte black). With the bias lighting it looks as if it's floating in air too. Too make it stand off the wall without moving I made 2 'pins' out of oak dowel and countersunk magnets in each end and then attached 2 matte black plates to the wall at the top right and bottom left, and unpainted steel plates to the back of the screen. I tried just hanging it with magnets (without the standoff 'pins') but the size of the magnets required made that idea prohibitive as the screen moved when the bass was thumping. It was a fun project.
EDIT:I've been thinking about the necessity of the bottom cables. I may remove them and add another standoff magnet pin to the other side. (It sucks trying to vacuum the carpet around the cables.)
