I work with computers all day long and mess around with mine far too much for it to double as a serious HTPC.

So I'm looking for a standalone streamer that will grab the files on my HTPC and stream them and do a great job with hardware playback.

I'd like to stay far below the cost of a new computer. Probably under $200. Closer to $100 would be great, and used is always good.

It just needs to have 720P or 1080i playback and have flawless playback.

Thanks for any suggestions!

xbox 360?

It REALLY depends on what format the files you are streaming are in.

I have been wanting a popcorn hour for quite some time, but with the new xbox360 update adding netflix HD streaming, I will switch back from BB online most likely and give that a whirl.
