Good afternoon all! Well after a few months of working on my basement I am getting close to the point where I can start building a mount for my projector. I currently own a sony 1251q that had around 800 hours when I first picked it up about a year and a half ago. It works great and at this point the wife doesn't want me to upgrade, some thing about spending too much money on the basement....but I digress. My plan was to build the mount out of unistrut using the front and back mounting points. However, last night I wanted to take a look at the mounting positions on the projector, so I flipped it on it's top. When I did this I noticed that the 1251 only has 3 mounting points (My old 1272q had alot more), the "center point" and two more about 1" further back and spaced 12" apart.

My question is this, with only three mounting positions and with them only 1" appart (front to back), is it even possible to build a mount out of unistrut for the 1251q? Looking at that avs place's archive I see alot of people discussing a pss-1270 mount that attaches to those three points. Is this my only option? any help would be great!

Thanks a bunch!
Shaun

True the 1251 only has three holes... you can use a factory mount or unistrut if you make a plate that is about 14" x 14" and drill holes in the correct spots. Bolt the plate to the pj and attach the unistrut to the plate.
