Very watchable, but at the end, I was left looking for a real plot with real characters... instead, I realized that the perfectly sweet characters were more unreal than any fairy tale... perfectly talented kid, perfectly talented mom, perfectly talented father... all innocent except for circumstances beyond their control... all perfectly reunited.

And WTF was Robin Williams? Bono? Lost Boys? Peter Pan? Psycho pizza hater? Too wise for the "overly academic" and "stuffy structured" Julliard?

And the foster child case worker dude from "Crash"... chasing all of the coincidences that get thrown at us.

Meh... I liked it but it sucked. If you liked "August Rush", you'll probably like "Across the Universe".

I really liked Across the Universe.... but the trailer to August Rush left me cold so I never looked into it any further. Would the reverse be true Clarence?
