Hi
I have just installed a colored c-element on my red tube on my Barco 1209s.
The glycol was really clean so I didnt change it. Of course a small amount of glycol was spilled when removing the old clear c-element so I ended up with a little less glycol in the LC housing. This means that there is a small air bubble in there now. When I have the tube horisontally I cannot see the bubble, but if I start to turn the tube I can see the bubble.
I thought that it was not a problem, but now I read that it can leave a reflection.
Since the glycol level is far above the phospor area, should I look into this? The tubes are not mounted in the chassis yet so "all" I have to do is get hold of the right type of glycol (which seems to be hard in europe) and remove the c-element and fill it up a bit.
In my mind, it is not a problem cause I cannot believe that it will leave a reflection, but want to be sure. I also read that in some PJs you should leave a air bubble to cope with expansion (maybe that is only when you dont have bellows?).
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks!
/Anders

When you have the tube in a horizontal fashion and you look in the CElement and up, you don't want to see the boom of the bubble. If you don't, it's OK. If you do you may get reflections off it.

Thanks for your appreciated input Terry!
There is no way I can see the bubble even if I look at an extreme angel from below when holding the tube horizontally so I guess I should be fine. I think that the bubble is within the bellow on the top.
Thanks!

Just to follow up in case anyone else has the same question. There is no reflection at all so there was no problem. Thanks again Terry.
