Since the image is absolutely stunning at this moment.....I still wonder....can it get any better Mr. Green ...
So, what about the idea of skipping the VIM Relays and wire the moome-output directly to the video stage opamps?

Anybody done this?

Well, it's a rather long path from the connector->relay->opamps for a wideband signal....not?

With that thinking why not connect the video straight to the video amp ? Wink Trust me its not worth it, if Mike parker hasnt done it then its not worth it and believe he's tried it or at least investigated it.

I assume you're talking about the Moome plug in module. I doubt bypassing a few relay contacts (if that's what you're asking) will have any improvement. Those relays are hermitically sealed units so they wouldn't have degraded over time.

Not just the relays....also the long tracks on the pcb...

But...obviously nobody has done it and it's not worth doing it anyhow Wink

As far as the tracks go, they aren't long enough to cause any problems of degradation of the signal. But hey don't take my word for it give it a try.
