hi everyone, i have a nec xg110 and i am using a focus enhancements centerstage cs-1 scaler.
im using component cables out of a standard dvd player to the scaler then rgbhv to projector.
now heres where the problem is. when i set the scaler to 1080i or 1080p, the projected image is not centered and is "GREEN" the red and blue is very dim.
does anyone know why it is like this.
thanks all

Sounds like you have the scaller set to output component over the RGBHV lines.

As for only green, what AnalogRocks said. As for not centered, you probably have not calibrated 1080i and 1080p resolution/refresh.

im sure that the scaler is set to rgbhv cause all the other resolutions work. vga, xga, svga, 1366x768 etc.
is it possible that i need to use the dvi input to achieve the 1080p/i resolution.

Looking at this review:
http://www.dynamicdigital.ca/product_review/review216.pdf
I read this bit about 720p and 1080i not being configured for RGB, but for component. I think it's still possible that all the other resolutions you've tried are setup RGB, but 1080i is possibly component.
Failing that... And I'm not an NEC guy... Is it possible that the memory blocks for 1080i and 1080p have drastically different bias/gain settings (or whatever they call it in NEC-ville)? Have you checked the numbers between the inputs to see if the projector is changing anything or if its the input?
