|
I have reset my new to me G70 no that I have played with it for a few weeks learning what the heck is involved to do a good from scratch setup. I went in and did a thorough setup with the P2 frequency on an unconnected input. I saved it. I have tried to save it to the default for all inputs and can not seem to get it to do that. The instructions say hold MEMORY for 5 seconds. I don't get the "do you want to save this for the default setup" menu when I do. Nothing happens except when I finally do let up on the MEMORY button, whatever test pattern goes away and I go back to a black pic. Is there a trick to this?
thanks
dan

Not sure if I am reading your post correctly, but when you are in the serviceman mode in the adjustment menu, say centering or whatever and you make a minor adjustment, hold the memory key down and it will say saving...blah blah, keep holding the key, don't let it up, it seems like forever but it will (or should) eventually go to a prompt that says something like Save as standard...blah blah or whatever, there will be a yes no tick box, arrow to yes and hit enter.
That's about as clear as mud. I probably confused you more. I'll shut up now

You sound like you're doing the right thing to me.
When I've had trouble getting the "save as standard data" message after holding the button down, I plug the remote into the unit with a suitable 3.5mm jack cable or do it on the internal control panel. Have you tried holding the memory button on the internal control panel down when you're in serviceman mode?
