Guys,

What would be the cause of a Barco 1209 not getting HV to the tubes?

I'm getting a "scan fail" error. We switched almost all boards from an identical projector that is working and still no go.

The only thing left is the quad and the splitter and the quad has been replaced with a new one.

Any ideas?

No I do not believe that has been changed. I'll find out for sure.

Is this board responsible for HV? Would it cause a scan fail error?

Thanks!

No, scan fail is caused by a bad H or V board or a bad SMPS or a bad yoke board. THe HV/EHT Section will not cause scan fail errors.

Oh, the video boards can also cause scan fails. Rare, but possible.

I've changed all of those boards except the video board big dog. Is there a way to force HV?

With a scan fail? Not a chance! Wanna nuke all three tubes quickfast? Smile

Keep swapping boards. In a case like this, it will be something weird. I've had those before here. At that point you need to get into the set with a scope to check to see if you have H and V sweep. Heck, it could be an open yoke/connector winding, or anything that causes the H or V sweep to stop working.

Hey big dog, I have a couple of questions.

I don't need it but if I did how much would a quad cost from you?

Also, I was told that in that Runco, a board needs to be matched with the quad. Is this true?
