Here is the story:

1. Purchased 9500LC last year from Terry in Atlanta, Mike Parker Mods

2. October 07 started to see electronic static

3. Troubleshoot and neck board with Mike's mod was faulty, ordered new neck board from Curt to use while mine was being
fixed by Mike. Noticed a weird blue bloom on my blue gun, none of the electronic adjustments, G2, focus etc. did anything, blue lenses were already focused before. Started when neck board was swapped. I did make sure all pins were in correct position as per advanced procedures, Marquee tear down.

4. Aug 20, Neck board fixed by Mike and re-installed, still getting blue bloom, tried all adjustments in menu.

Basically the blue image on test patterns, grid etc. is smeared.....the smear is worse tword the center of the gun.

My friend who has a Sony talks about focus coming off the block?

Any advice is greatly appreciated....

Thank you,

Kevin

try swaping the Focus connector form one of your tubes that focus's to the blue tube and see if it corrects it. But first remove and reseat the focus board, then try what i said.

report back.

Tried both, swapped red and blue, the smear stays on the blue. That means it's not the focus board right?

right, i wonder if its the tube? Or it could be the color corection board maybe if you have one? its located above the CLM on the right side, you could pull it out and turn on PJ and see if it goes away. another thing that sometimes helps weird problems is cleaning or reseating of the clm chips that are removable. try those and see what happens.

Not sure how handy you are but I would start be talking to Terry, he sold you the set and may be willing to give you a hand as after the sales service.

You have to flush out the Glycol and put in new stuff. To do that you need to remove it with a syringe, and then flush it out and refill with new glycol, getting it out take awhile and flushing would be a pain if you try to do it through the tiny screw holes. Removing the C-element is the best way but very time consuming and you must be careful not ti rip or tear the Bellow or your screwed and have ot send it to VDC for a replacement and cleaning, about 500 bucks.

Look over my Bellow removal post and see if its up your ally, but be careful !
