Moome would like someone with a Sony G90 to try out his new Sony IFB-FULLHD HDMI 1.3 card for a few days as a precautionary measure before he ships them out to users.

He's told me that he will sell you the card for 1/2 of what it normally costs (ie: $225 USD shipped to your door instead of $450). Free would have been better but these are Moome's conditions - sorry!

Any Sony G90 user interested in testing this card for Moome should email me at webmaster@curtpalme.com with the following information:

  • Why you think you're qualified to do this testing
  • What your video chain setup consists of (source devices/screen size/resolutions used)
  • What your experience is with the Sony G90 (ie: whether you set up the projector yourself or had someone else do it for you)
  • Other HDMI cards/converters you may have tried
  • Whether you have access to a digital camera to take screenshots
  • Any electronics experience you might have
  • How much you're willing to bribe me to pick your name out of the list Mr. Green
No need to write a novel here. Just a line or two will suffice for each item.

Preference will be given to those with an understanding of video reproduction and their way around a Sony G90 (ie: comfortable with the chassis and setting up new memory blocks/etc). If you don't the difference between image area and raster, or edge enhancement from macroblocking, please do not apply. (Sorry!)

You will be sent a final build of the card and you would be able to keep the card after testing of course at half the price as mentioned (paid up front I would imagine). If you already had one of the cards pre-ordered, I'm sure Moome would refund half.

Thanks for all the submissions guys. We've decided to go with Craig Rounds of CIR-Engineering. Craig is a professional calibrator with years of experience in all facets of video reproduction and electronics.

Craig: I'll email you separately with how to proceed.

Thanks!
