The video formats shown in Figure 3-3 can be used for BD-ROM video streams.
HD
1920x1080x59.94-i, 50-i (16:9)
1920x1080x24-p, 23.976-p (16:9)
1440x1080x59.94-i, 50-i (16:9) MPEG-4 AVC / SMPTE VC-1 only
1440x1080x24-p, 23.976-p (16:9) MPEG-4 AVC / SMPTE VC-1 only
1280x720x59.94-p, 50-p (16:9)
1280x720x24-p, 23.976-p (16:9)

SD
720x480x59.94-i (4:3/16:9)
720x576x50-i (4:3/16:9)

So, it depends. While most movies are indeed encoded at 1080p/24, some are 60i and if you're overseas, some are also 50i.

And the last question, from BD player what give in the DVDO scaler? 1080p and HDMI pass through? or 1080i and the scaler out 1080p/75?

Gia sou Ilias, If you dont have away to strip HDCP the Blu Ray player will output 1080i, But if you use the HD Fury or an Internal Moome HDMI card in the IFB slot then it will output the full 1080p that the disc was encoded with.

If you can find a LG Bh200 player i would get this as then you can look for HD DVD movies also that are very cheap now from many online stores. E-bay is a good place to look for the BH 200. its a great player as is the older LG BH100.

I send 1080p24 from the Blu Ray to the Lumagen scaler then to my Marquee at 1080p48 for 16x9 movies and 800p@72 for 2.35 movies.
