Does anyone know of a device that will receive and then re-transmit the infrared signal from a remote. I have my PJ floor mounted within an enclosed coffee table setup and it does not always receive the remote control signals. I would like to have a device that I can put up with my equipment that will receive the infrared signal and then retransmit it back to the front of the PJ where one of the infrared receivers is located.
Thanks
Dan

My dad uses a couple of those. It works decent and is a good, cheap wireless solution.

If you want a little higher-end solution, you can go to Xantech, HotLink or a couple of other wired solutions. Smarthome has a lot of IR distribution/repeat solutions:

whats6x7, those are described as being multi-room solutions, e.g. control a receiver in another room by rebroadcasting the IR in the other room. Would they work in a single-room application like wanting a "boost" for your IR remote in your HT? I would think the transmitter/receiver could run into an IR feedback problem...?

I've had good results just bouncing the remote signal off the screen back to the pj. Mine is ceiling mounted so the angle down to one on the floor might be wrong.

I use something like this Xantech IR extender (mine is Optilinq, but looks identical):

http://cgi.ebay.com/Xantech-291-KIT-Hidden-Link-IR-Infrared-Repeater-System_W0QQitemZ270265954200QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270265954200&_trkparms=72%3A134%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I place the receiver on top of my center channel and use phone wire to extend it to the back of my HT rack. From there I run individual emitters to my equipment and I get a dedicated IR signal to each of my components. My receiver is quite a bit smaller than that one, but in a dark HT on top of a black center channel, even that one will be invisible.

Works great!!

Not in the application he is describing. Just cover the IR port in the front of the projector and position the ir blaster from the receiver at the back. The coffee table mount should shield the back port from everything except the ir blaster.
