Ran into this on craigslist the other day:
Note presence of all three lens caps.. (!)
Anyway, what's a 600s vs. a 600?
The guys wants 50 bucks for it, negotiable... if I had more money, and more space, and more time, I might grab it for the hell of it, but as is... If anyone else wants it, it's in Rochester.

It's a Vision... don't waste your money. http://www.curtpalme.com/Barco400.shtm
Generally speaking, the Vision projectors accepted a video only signal either video a composite video connector, possibly an S-video connector or via an RGB input. Remember that these sets were made pre-1990 generally and back then, video signals could be given via an RGB signal, but the resolution was limited to 320 X 240. (back in the early days of computers, that was high resolution!). Even the sets that are labelled ‘HDTV’ on the case such as the Vision 1500, the resolution maxed out at 640 X 480, and cannot sync to a modern day HDTV signal.

Yeah, but the specs page says rgbhv and 1024x768. And the 's' makes it kind of interesting. Plus, it's a 7" es. Nobody's getting it for the quality anyway.

I wonder how it would work in a rear projection setup for say a 42" to 50" screen? Might be a fun tinkering project for someone.

Visions are video only, Datas will do 1024 X 768. THe S is the later model with Svideo input. Other than that, it's identical to the 600, without data capability. Worth the SD 187 tubes in it if they are in good shape.
