i have a 2 yo and a 4 yo. nuff said there. and before i inverted it, they would touch the lenses. Now what is the best way to go about removing their smudges?

Go to a camera shop and buy some liquid lens cleaner and cloth. Otherwise, the softest cotten cloth you can find and some diluted windex. Rub lightly. The outer lens is not really that important but you do not want to remove the protective coating. Spend as little time cleaning as required.
