|
|
Hello All
I have a Ampro 3600 that I am having an issue with. When I set up the greyscale properly I get a huge drop at
30IRE. Like a black hole. If I turn the G2 up to get enough output to correct this, it lights up the tube face so much
that 20, 10 and 0 IRE go off the chart in HCFR. From 40 IRE and up everything is fine. IS there some sort of other
control, pot , bad resistor etc. that needs adjusting or can be adjusted?
Thanks
Gary

95
for the sub brightness control then push the blue button for blue sub brightness. Other than that you might have a blue neck board problem or the blue tube it's self. Try swapping the b and g neckboards and see if the problem follows the board.

I've got the sub brite set at 50. Ramping it up and down changes it as you would expect so I suspect it is something else.
So I can just swap the neck boards? I don't have to swap anything else?
Thanks
The blue and green should be identical. In fact all three are electrically the same but the third boards layout was changed to allow the tube to swing in without making contact with the chassis. Just unplug the PJ and let it sit for 15 minutes to let the capacitors bleed down. Be sure to look at the oriantation of the video feeds (little black wire with white dot) plugged onto the board
