I have a BG 1208 with minty tubes, but the machine will not fire up. I would like to remove the tubes and boards and save them for future replacements if needed in the 1208 I am using. What is the best way to store them?
Does anyone need lenses or chasis parts for a 1208? Let me know.
Thaks,
Joel

I put them face down on a cloth. I've managed to crack a couple of faces putting them on wood.
I'd buy the HV quadrupler...

Brings a whole new definition to 'browning' of the phosphor.

I had three extra minty tubes, so I just threw 'em in a box with some boards I shipped to Curt.

Thanks everyone. I thought about selling the tubes, but as soon as I do I'm sure I'll need them.
I'll store them face down in my fruit of the looms to prevent browning, spot burn, and skid marks.
Peace,
Joel

Curt could not be more right about putting down cloth. I just went downstairs to look at my spare CRT's and I found this:
