I think between Heywood and I, we have resolved my inconsistant HDMI switching. I'm pertty sure I need to have my ISS HDMI input active before I feed it a HDCP encripted signal. Is there a preferred IR controlled HDMI switcher. I only have 2 HDMI sources.

Thanks crabbie, I just ordered one of the extended 1.3 version units. Lets see how that works.

Next I'm going to need a 35 foot DVI/HDMI cable(to feed a HD Fury) of decent quality that won't empty my wallet. There seems to be a wide price range for these cables. Do HDMI cables really vary that much in quality to justify the difference of $50.00 from one vendor and $150.00 from another? Also, are HDMI cables affected by being in close proximity to power cables? Need suggestions for a good but affordable cable. Thanks,

My new switcher showed up the day before yesterday but I didn't have time to test it till last night. That little sucker works like a charm. It's the best little add-on device I've ever bought. The only down side is now I have to program it into my Crestron system so it's integrated. That'll kill half a day in programming. I'll have to go into my program and change my sequencing and timing of my video switching. The NEC ISS MUST be switched to the HDMI input so that the Moome HDMI card is live prior to the HDMI switcher selecting a device. Otherwise the HDMI device won't "hand-shake" and shut down the 1080P video output.
I'm just starting to get a handle on this digital/HDCP crap. I've been existing in the anything goes analog relm for to long

It IS nice when things 'just work' isn't it?
A Michigan buddy of mine was (this past winter) hassled by a mutual friend while they were both out on their sno-mobiles. The cheaper/lesser of the sleds was carburated, and the guy with the 'new sled every two years' syndrome was making snide comments about the lack of fuel injection.
My friend Dave's retort? "Mine runs on physics. Yours runs on software... Which do you trust?"
(It should be noted that all three of us are in the automotive OEM parts business, and that we have all suffered mightily at the hands of firmware developers.)

The following 25 footer is what I bought from Monoprice to drive my HDFury from my Monoprice HDMI switcher. It works perfectly. Looks like they sell a similar one in 35FT for about $50. I'm sure it will do the job for you.
Cheers,
Steve

Well I finally got this sucker nailed down. I'm getting consistant HDMI (HDCP) switching every try now. This little switcher is the balls. The IR codes were easily collected, converted and implemented in my Crestron system. I get a very clean image with the Fury now and with the Box 1020, I get decent gamma control and image alignment correction (left shift correction). The only down side I see is the Monoprice switcher has about a 5-6 second delay for complete switching. I'm not sure if it's the switchers fault or it's the additional time for the STB's to initiate the HDCP handshake. Someone smarter than me is going to have to figure that one out
