I am getting a ground hum from my BH100 HDMI output. I am Not using the HDMI for audio, It is only going to my Lumagen HDQ, the BH 100 does not have a grounded cord just the two prong cord.
All My equipment is either connected to a Monster HTS 3500 or an Adcom Ace115 power conditioners, I just corrected reversed hot/neutral on all my plugs for my A/V equipment and this is all on a separate panel Box that also has an internal surge protection. I went through all the power cords first unpluging them one by one, this did not work then I went to video input out puts starting with sat and RT antenna, As you all know the HDMI from the LG was the last one for me to test !! Arghhhh!!!!!

What can I do to Eliminate the Hum from the HDMI? I also think this may be the source from my Squigglies on vertical
lines in my image from both my Projectors.

Could I add three prong cord to the LG right into the power supply, or should I just add a ground Wire to the chasis to the ground connector on the Monster unit it is powerd from?

I would actually do the opposite as a test remove the ground from the Lumagen and amps if you can using a ground isolation adapter, one of those 3 prong to 2 prong things they use in older homes without gounded outlets....you might have some type of gound loop. Do each piece of equipment one at a time of if you find the problem you can stop there.

I dont want to loose the ground for amps its there for a reason and I have that squigglie line problem only on my blu ray video not on other sources I am sure. I also switced HDMI cables an its still there. if i unplug the lumagen its still there, if i unplug the LG its still there. its only not there when i remove the LG hdmi cable and it i dont even plug it in all the way just touch the outer part of the HDMI cable it hums, its a ground loop with the LG player only, I disconnected all the ohte HDMi, video and audio cables from my sources and left only the LG in the chain and HDQ, the hum was there. as soon as I pull out the hdmi it goes away.

Connecting a ground wire from the LG BH100 to the Monster Ht 3500 has almost taken the hmm out of the system and reduce the squigglies to barely noticalble untill you get right up to the speaker, and right up to the screen to see the squigglies on the Grid pattern from my Luagen internal patters. later I will try to completely eliminate the problem.

I might need to instal a separate earth ground Bar out side and ground this panel box to that new ground and not the Current ground of the house copper piping.
