does the marquee have any specialized adjustment in the service menu or in the super secret menu for calibration of colors and grey scale? I know whats in the service menu is just g2 and drive but does it have any special adjustment that can be done I have a 1998 9500lc, and 1994 8000

I don't remember seeing anything on my 8000, 1995 vintage but your 9500 may be different. Why don't you check? As long as you don't change any settings you should be fine.

I would not touch the super secret menu. Unless your a train tech there are things in there that need special equipment to set, at least thats what i heard in previous posts on AVS. You could render the projector useless.

You can't change the primaries on ANY CRT projector, as far as I know.

Your 9500LC should have pretty good primaries if you have the correct C Elements installed.

Installing HD144/145 lenses (the colored ones - I can never remember if that is "color corrected" or "color filtered") on your 8000 will bring the primary colors on that PJ very close to standard.

Otherwise, G2, Drive, Contrast and Brightness are all you need, I think.

I also remember reading lately the the newest software for the Lumagen HDP video processor allows you to adjust your primary colors - I'm not sure about the secondaries.

i did not see anything that jumped out in the ss menu that is why i asked i thought there may have been a gama or video noise setting. thats all My primaries are really goo I do have the c elements and on the 8000 tinted glycol I am outside the hd triangle not to concerned there
