I am having some issues with Jagged edges on my set up since i updated my HDQ with the latest firmware. Before this everything was fine no jaggies anywhere. I did some reasearch and found out from the secretes of home theater and other site that Y/C delay could help fix this or also know known as the chroma bug if I am understanding this correctly. I am not sure if the firmware update altered my settings or something changed in the firmware where i now need to alter the settings. I have been using the same set up for over a year and have never noticed this before and have not changed anything in my system.

System:
LG bh100>1080p24sf input on HDQ out @ 1080p48>Moome VIM-HD internal HDMI card for a Marquee 8500.

Any thoughts of what to alter change or if it is indeed a firmware upgrade problem with the Vision series.

There is another thread that addresses a "feathering" issue but they seem to only be interested in fixing the issue for the Qualia PJ.

Would changing the Y/C delays help at all? I get jaggies and dancing lines with angled and slightly angled lines, some circles have massive jaggies and n screen text from the credits or especially in animation fils the jaggies arte more pronounced. I really love my Luagen and would hate to give it up to solve this issue.

On my HDQ the 1080p24 input mode has not been 100%, I have been using 1080i30 input as recommended on the Lumagen forums and have had no issues with it.

I saw this post on AVS.

Do you have some good examples I could look at?

Yep its on AVS as well no replies there yet.
Dave if you have DVE on blue ray go the demonstration materials to the scene with the woman
standing on a porch with railings, it is kinda a dark scene, the wood railings have jaggies that move
with the panning of the camera.
Also on Aeon Flux where she is comming down the strairs in the begining, they also shimmer and have jaggies.

before the update i never seen this before, basiclay almost every scene with horizontal slightly angled lines
like some ones glasses, the arms and rims have jaggies.

Have DVE on HD DVD, but the first one, not the "basics". I'll see if this scene is there.

I have this on HD DVD. I'll check this weekend.

Have you tried rolling each one back one at a time to see when the problem goes away?

I went back two versions on the Lumy and back to a december update disc i had lying around for the LG, others have had the same problem with
the lumy but are using a qualia. That post was over on AVS, I joined in but they ignored me.

Dave another thing i cant get the lumy to do is 1080p@60 output. I also get very big Horizontal numbers like over 2000 when i try to force each
Parameter for 1080p,1920 and the 60 scan rate it jumps to 1080i by itself. I thought the lumy will do at least 1080p@60. I know 1080p@72 it can not do.
I treid changing everything but a no go, so i stick with 1080p@48 out.

I dont think the marquee or the moome are at fault, i have two moomes and two Marquee's and they both have the same issues, unless its my geffen dvi splitter
but that has a high bandwidth chip, i should take that out of the chain and try the higer res. But it should have no affect with the jaggies, that to me is some kind of chroma bug.

Dave one more thing for you to know about DVE on HD with the LG, the menues do not work or the comentary its weird, you have to look for the patterns, and you realize how bad the menu structure for the original HD DVE was, the new version is much better but does not have as many patterns as the HD dve original.
