Ok guys sorry to be so ignorant but I can't figure out what would be the best lenses for my P16 tubes in my 1208. It seems the more I read the more I am confused. I think either the 117-24 or the 145's. thanks

Unless your 1208 is LC the best lens is the color filtered HD-144/145, the 117-24 is only for LC machines with C-elements

Found a set of color 145's on videogon but rarely see the 144's. Am getting my adaptors made now for the tubes and am getting excited. Anybody got some 144's?

I'm sorry, are you staying LC or tearing the housings off and going back to AC?
I WOULD STAY WITH LC.
If you can pick up a set of G70/XG LC HD-18s or HD-134s and the C elements from a set of burnt tubes, you will have one hell of a machine.
I would not spend money on AC lenses. What's the point? Spend you money on going LC!!

If you're installing P16 LC tubes you will need whatever lenses mount with the C-element that the LC housing uses. It could be HD-18, HD-10, HD-134, HD-117 or any other LC lens depending on the housing that are on your LC tubes.
Pictures would help us see what you're dealing with.

Many have chanced retro lc tubes and lenses to 1208/808, that is what Pete and Mad Mr H did.

Yes that is what I'm doing. These P16's are from a retrodata 808. I'm swapping everything from the necks and putting them in my 1208 due to the neck board connections were different. When I first tried uploading pics (never done here before) I found out size really does matter! Thanks

Stereodave70 has posted about his 1208lc on this forum and a few ( very few) reports of them in Europe indicate they were a limited run. It would be nice to see a few pics of the housings, and how they differ from the retro unit.
Can anyone tell me what Lenses the Ampro 3600 used?
